I would NEVER get any sleep at night if my Cat-From-Hell had one of those to mess with. The other cat could probably care less.
If you build it he will come.
I loved all my cats! They NEVER bothered me unless I forgot to give them water or food!
She's got her good moments too, but if there's a way to misbehave, go places she shouldn't be, terrrorize the other pets, etc., etc., this cat will find it. She's a pound rescue who I'm sure must have been dropped on her head as a kitten or something. One minute she's on your lap purring away, the next minute you'd swear she was possessed by demons. Both the male cat (twice her size with claws on all 4 vs. her 2) and the dog just try to stay out of her way when she's in one of her moods.
If you build it he will come.
She didn't happen to be a tortoiseshell did she? I have a longstanding theory about tortoiseshell cats and brain lesions!! ROFL!

Here's a pic of the bad cat and the good cat.

I like the BAD Cat! More to life!
Yep, she looks like a troublemaker alright!forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)

Cat from He-- ! When I was a young boy of about 10 years, the family orange tabby cat loved to pee on my pillows (three within a month or so). Mom tried to wash the first on and you know how well that turned out. Go ahead and laugh!!!!!!!!!
Work Safe, Count to 10 when your done for the day !!

Sounds like your orange tabby had "issues." Too funny (not!). Perhaps feeling a bit competitive with you?? I had a pet rabbit for awhile when I was 25 or so. He could be out and about in the house for short periods of time with no problems. But if my beau stopped by to visit and sat down on the sofa, the rabbit would jump up there, get right next to him, and drop a few pellets just to let him know how things were. Hysterically funny!forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Talking of rabbits- will he trust me with his rabbit?Philip Marcou
Ooooo, cat looks..what? jealous maybe? Rabbit looks pretty darned worried, LOL! Philip, I love your cats!forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
In truth the Bunny looks like lunch and the cat looks like it is trying to decide how hungry it is.
Doug
Oh, Doug, I was trying to be subtle. ROFL! Yep, there is a bit of tension there. I had a cat down in California that caught a big wild rabbit one hot afternoon, darned thing was half-again his size. Surprised the heck out of me when he came dragging it down the gravel driveway to the barn. Disappointed him when I didn't skin it and whip up a BBQ.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
When I was a lad. My father caught a young rabbit out in the field and gave it to us kids. We had a half grown kitten at the same time. The two played and played. And get this - after a while the kitten got tired of all the playing and would just sooner sleep. I can't remember what happened to those two.
Rabbits do well with other kinds of critters as company - bet your two were cute! The one I had was raised with one of those long-haired Guinea Pigs -- the ones that look like harried housewives.
He was a rescue bunny, found by the children at the Early Childhood Center where I worked as an admninistrative assistant, he had been carried out of his nest by some small dog, but not harmed. I put him in a large Kleenex box and nursed him with a bottle for a few weeks, watching as his eyes opened, his ears stood up, and he grew noticeable hair. What a cutie!
He needed a name, for the kids ya know? so I named him Little Baby Bingo Bunny. Bingo was a big favorite around there, but eventually I had to take him home, that's where the Guinea Pig came into the picture.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
When I was a kid I lived out in the country and the neighbors cat (no front or rear claws) used to bring home rabbits all the time that were a LOT bigger then he was.
And what kind of cat person are you? Your cat brings you home dinner and you dont even cook it? :)
Doug
"Your cat brings you home dinner and you dont even cook it?" Nah, I eat it raw -- that's what he expects! ROFL.
Had alot of fun Tues. morning watching our orange tabby falling off the windowsill, trying to catch the Pine Siskins on the other side. The birds walk on the outside moulding of the windows while waiting their turn at the thistle sack, cat's inching along inside, swatting the window, ears laid back, then "whomp" off he goes. Too funny.
PS: that's quite a trick, cat with no claws bringing home rabbits. He must have been one strong (and maybe big?) cat!

Not all that big, not little but the rabbits tended to be about half again (at least) as big. I do recall that my orange tabbie was bigger (but then again orange cats are really not cats, I mean they just look like cats) but If I recall Subastian (sp?) was a mean so and so.
Doug
" ...(but then again orange cats are really not cats, I mean they just look like cats)" You are so right, Doug! Mikki is the first orange tabby I've ever had, and he's such a card!
PS: You were close, it's Sebastian I think. Could be wrong, though.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
This is a big cat.
Oh, yeah, nice kitty kitty. What a hoot. I just love Tigers, my "Make a Wish" is to be able to pet one right between the ears, just once, I'd be in 7th Heaven.
Have you seen the show on Discovery or Animal Planet of the park in Australia with the Tigers that are raised by hand, learn to walk amongst the crowds and such. The show the raising of 3 (maybe 4?) of them. It is totally awesome.
What's the story behind the one in the pics?forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
There is a story That goes with the pictures.
In a zoo in California, a mother tiger gave birth to a rare set of triplet tiger cubs. Unfortunately, due to complications in the pregnancy, the cubs were born prematurely and due to their tiny size, they died shortly after birth The mother tiger after recovering from the delivery, suddenly started to decline in health, although physically she was fine.
The veterinarians felt that the loss of her litter had caused the tigress to fall into a depression. The doctors decided that if the tigress could surrogate another mother's cubs, perhaps she would improve. After checking with many other zoos across the country, the depressing news was that there were no tiger cubs of the right age to introduce to the mourning mother. The veterinarians decided to try something that had never been tried in a zoo environment. Sometimes a mother of one species will take on the care of a different species. The only 'orphans' that could be found quickly, were a litter of weanling pigs. The zoo keepers and vets wrapped the piglets in tiger skin and placed the babies around the mother tiger. Would they become cubs or pork chops?
Now, please tell me one more time? Why can't the rest of the world get along?
A picture is worth a thousand words, but it uses up three thousand times the memory.
An excellent question! Thanks for filling me in. forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Would you cite an authourity or article we could look up? or is this yet another baseless feel bad BS story?"There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters."

Most likely a BS story, but here is the link.

The piggies did look pretty "still" but cross-species nurturing isn't uncommon.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Personally I think it was very nice of them to provide that cat with a lunch of "Pigs in a blanket" (JK :) )
Yeah I think orange cats (house cats that is) are a bit strange, they generally are nuts (even more so then your average cat) the generally are also very friendly.
My brothers orange cat is still most depressed it has walk around the house all week looking for his dog. But his dog is not coming back anymore. So Lucky is all bumbed out to the point of sitting where the food bowl was and wailing. Obviously this is not sitting well with my brother and his wife. They called luck "Little dog" because he acted like and was very close to their routwhiler (the big dog) who they had to have put down monday.
On the happier note I know a vet who was doing some volunteer work and walked in to help only to get drafted into helping operate on a sick cat. Turned out the cat was a tiger! The vet she was helping said "it is like operating on a house cat but simpler as everything is bigger and easier to work on!.
Doug
Well the Cat-From-Hell struck again this weekend. I've been wrapping up a workbench build and glued some leather vise jaw liners on the LV Twinscrew that goes across the RH end. So a few hours later I go back past the bench and here's the cat licking the glue squeezout. Apparently the Titebond liquid hide glue I used is rather tasty. Had a bit of it in her fur as well but she licked that clean before I could get her wiped off. She also managed to get some of it smeared onto the benchtop too, but fortunately the finish is epoxy, so no harm done there. It just wiped off with hot water and elbow grease. If there's a way to get into trouble this cat will find it.
If you build it he will come.
Ohhhhh, dogs and cats love hide glue! That's why you never, ever leave a dog alone in a roomfull of very old books.
BTW, make sure she isn't left alone with a Gorilla glue glue-up, that stuff kills when they eat it.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Who would I test my chisel & plane edges on if I stuffed and mounted her. Gotta shave the hair on something dont I?:-)
If you build it he will come.
