You can buy this in aerosol cans and gallons from Mohawk. How come it isn’t sold in almost all stores that sell finishing products? It has several advantages over nitrocellulose.

I dunno,
Should you maybe be looking for catalyzed lacquer? Maybe you could tell us which of the many catalyzed lacquers Mohawk makes you are looking for. Maybe it's one of their professional lacquers that you are looking for in "almost all stores that sell finishing products". Who knows? Why don't they sell caviar in the 7-11? How come there's no latex wall paint in my local body shop supply?
No offense, but your question hardly begs a useful answer. I know of at least six catalyzed lacquer products from Mohawk.

I think most lacquer, nitro or Pre-Catalyzed is something that is generally used by more experienced and/or skilled finishers. Both (I think) require special protection when spraying which may cause anxiety for the lawyers that work for the stores you describe.
