SWMBO wants one of those spinning CD Storage Units, about 2x2x6, that is essentially a rotating 4 sided unit. Fine and dandy, but where can I get the heavy duty hardware, sorta like a lazy susan. I assume with the popularity of this style of unit, there must be parts available commercially. Ideas?
Thanks.
Boris

Boris,
I think that it's more Hafele's standard line, but I don't have one of their catalogues here at home. It isn't in a Blum or Hettich catalogue that I could see.
What you're looking for is known here as a Lazy Susan swivel (as you alluded to). I have it in two of my local supplier catalogues, but not an international one. The load capacity of the swivels sold here is 75kg/165lb, so it should be sufficient.
Hope this helps you find one.
Cheers,
eddie
Go to http://www.leevalley.com or http://www.rocker.com and search for lazy susan bearing. They're sold for swivelling giant TVs.

Jamie:
Thanks so much for the links. I looked at Rockler before but didn't think that a chair swivel would be what I need. The darn pre-made units are over $300. I can knock one out for about $100 in wood and hardware.
Regards,
Boris
