Can anyone recommend a Red Cedar end grain sealer for an outdoor furniture project.
Based on another thread, I’m going to let the flat surfaces weather to a natural grey. I would prefer that the sealer not be apparent after the greying process is complete.
Thanks for your help.

Any basic epoxy will work. I've usually used West Systems because I've had some around from other projects. You only apply it to the end grain in ground contact so it isn't visible. A couple of coats should give a pretty complete seal.
I have only made one set of outdoor furniture from cedar. Not sure what type of cedar. That was many YEARS ago.. Still 'useable'...
I used copper 'flashing' with soldered joints to 'cap' the legs sitting on the ground.
My house is sided in the same wood. Whatever it is.
Cedar WILL rot (in time) if left in contact with moisture (end grain especially). I know from experience from a problem with the siding. Wet leaves left over many winters (I think) that contacted the end grain of vertical siding I did.. MY fault!
NOTE: It did take a long time though. Maybe in my next life I'll know to clean off the leaves on 'that' side of the house...
