   Central Machinery from Harbor Freight?

   1 - measure the board twice, 2 - cut it once, 3 - measure the space where it is supposed to go        4 - get a new board and go back to step 1

   Yes. It is a Central Machinery BS. I have done some searching on the internet for this model but apparantly it is fairly old and my searches turned up nothing.

   A retired couple has it for sale and at first I was intrigued, but now I think that what I need is not a CM but something else.

   Look at something else.  I hear that the grizzly is good.  The CM new is either $289 or $329 depending on which model.  SO if I were going to buy it used, I would noty go over $100 absolute tops.  As a first learning bandsaw that you would use to see if you would use one enough to warrant a better one it might be worth that. But if you are sure you will use the bandsaw, skip it and go for something better.1 - measure the board twice, 2 - cut it once, 3 - measure the space where it is supposed to go        4 - get a new board and go back to step 1
