Anyone have any info on chain mortisers? I am doing some reproduction work and I think that some of the cuts had to be done with one and I am looking for information?
Thanks for your help.

A chain mortiser is a beutiful thing, seemingly invaluable in fabricating doors. Is your question operation? Used one in school, like a x-y controlled chainsaw. Does similar job as router based mortising but in a big scale and fast. Consider the chain goes around a sprocket on the end of the bar so tenons need to be shaped accordingly. They come on used market for $1000 Can. often.
