I am looking for information on joining chair arms to the front and back post. Can anyone tell me where to look.
P.S. I need illustrations!

miller ,
What style chair you are making may determine the method to use . So what style chair are you making ?
If it is say Mission , or Bentwood or French Provincial or Maloofian you can study the particular type and find illustrations to suit the style .There is unfortunately not just one answer for your question .
give us a bit more info
regards dusty
Its more of a Maloofian style. I am trying to join a rounded front post to a flatter arm. I was planing on leaving a rounded stud on the bottom of the arm and doing a saddle joint to the rounded post, and maybe pinning it with a contrasting wood. I think this joint will hold up well, but I was wondering if there was a better way to do it. AS to joining the arm to the back post I really don't have any "GOOD" ideas. I guess I just want to know how others accomplish these joints. THANKS
