Can anyone help with best angle to use when designing a relaxing type chair for a conservatory?
I don’t want to be lying down but I dont want to be sat up ridgid, while drinking my beer!
The book, tells me between 20 deg, and 25 deg from the seat face.
I am going to knock a proto type up this week, but would like some comments.
I plan to use 3 in thick foam cushions for the back and seat.
Thanks

I no expert in chair angles -- but have one bit of advice for you to consider.
If the back is angled for that comfortable feel while swilling, then the seat should also be angled.
If the back is angled, and the seat is not, then enough swilling will cause the chair to pour you out onto the floor -- not a pleasant experience.
That could be a safety fetcher. When you had to much and fall out of the chair you know when to stop. :)
ok wise guy.....
do I angle the seat..bachwards or forwards.....????
Higher at the knee than at the hip. If you don't angle the seat, it will be a bit like a sliding board. If you check out a few designs for Adirondack chairs, you'll end up with some good examples.
