does any one know how to change the brushes on a Bosch SDS jigsaw? This one is not the “barrel” grip it is

Can this be done? Or, do I just try to lose the rest of the screws before the case comes apart? From the looks of the Bosch drawings it looks like you can just take the butt off of the saw and get to the brushes that way, but the handle attaches to the body there and has some pressure on it when I remove the screws near the trigger. It also looks like there is more stuff under that handle that I am probably going to need later on
I ..ascaredy of losing even more parts If I try to take the handle off .
Any help out there ?

Bring it to an authorized service center. I have ruined several tools attempting to do what you are attempting. Most of these units are easy to diss-assemble, but not so the other direction.
PS, if you have a S.O., this is a great opportunity to declare the unit useless, which you can prove; providing the perfect cover for an upgrade to a better unit. The politics of marriage.
Thanks Bioman,Yeah, I thought of that but , I did not feel that changing the brushes should require a trip to wherever the Service Center might be ! According to Bosch the nearest service is 160 miles away, RTThat is one of the reasons for doing things myself, and I wondered if anyone had solution. maddog
Used to be the tech at a service center. It's a bit of practice to change brushes in some tools so I would recommend you UPS it to a service center if it seems too formidable. The few bucks you try to save can cost more without the practice and when stuff comes loose before you can see where it came from it can be difficult to figure out how it went in the first place. Often the parts diagram will help but sometimes details are lacking.
