I am doing a little remodeling of my workshop and was trying to determine if there is such a thing as a plan for all of my rechargers for my cordless tools. I just have them on a shelf plugged into a power strip. I thought I saw a plan for one in a woodworking magazine but am unable to find such an article now. I know it is a very simple thing but if somewone came up witha clever solution to this situation I would like to consider it.

I'm not sure about physical layout, but my plan has been to eventually set up with a charging station which is controlled by a countdown timer. I've had at least one charger which shorted out & the unit started smoking. Fortunately I was there to unplug it. If it's on a timer and everything is on a non-combustible surface, I would feel much better.

What rang a bell is the Wood Whisperer's "Gadget Station".
I just reworked some shelving in my shop and planned to set up a charging station near my shop radio. Got it all set up, fired everything up, and had a really bad once per second buzz on the AM dial that corresponded with the flashing light on my Li-Ion charger. Moved the charger back to its old home (on a different circuit) and the buzz went away.
Win some, lose some, I suppose. - lol
