Frenchy.. Gee no posts.. I saw blackwalnut floors and saw siding shingles! .. You have to be a great person! Ya' thinks' like me do!But then again I expected something for a 'Opener' in the text!Is that YOUR house or work you are doing?
frenchy,
That's some home you're making there!
Are Ya gonna shellac it :-) ? Yeah I'm sure you're not gonna do that, at least on the outsiide.
That's what I'd call Fine Homebuilding taken to a new level.
You da Man,
BEAUTIFUL! Bob @ Kidderville Acres
A Woodworkers mind should be the sharpest tool in the shop!
Hi Bob,
Hopefully these pictures of the inside will get posted.. OOPs they are all too large, oops, I better shrink them.

Bob,
Thanks, You caught me,, I confess, I like pink lemonaide..That's the dead soldier on the dry wall. Full grown man likes pink lemonaide over beer.. or anything stronger..
Just to explain what those blurs are,
the first is my youngest daughters room. It's half round as you hopefully can tell with a great view of the lake..
The second is my oldest daughters bedrrom, it's a decent view to the North and overlooks the great room.
the third is another perspective of that same room while the fouth is aa sewing room for she who must be obeyed..
all of the timbers are white oak and yes that's shellac on them..
WillGeorge,
That's my place, the Homemade Hardwood Home. If you'd like some more of it you can go to 34543.3 in the advanced search portion and see a few more photo's
As for verbage I'm a little slow at this posting pictures thing and I think that was attempt 9 or 10 before I really figured everything out. Once posted I darn sure wasn't going to risk doing something that caused them to disappear.
Just for information it's a double timberframe.. that is there is a full black walnut timberframe on the outside like European homes have and a full white oak timberframe on the inside like most American timberframes.. (there are SIP's in between those frames so the walls are about 16 inch thick (depending on the stone).
Not trying to show off.. HAY from what I have seen posted you SHOULD show off AND blow a LOUD horn to boot! NICE HOUSE!Are you doing the stone work yourself also?
frenchy,
A few questions:
Is that the master bedroom with the round walls upstairs? If so, how ya gonna corner the missus?
Are those shakes soaking in shellac ? ;-))
Very pretty work,
Ray
Ray,
Nah, it's the youngest daughters bedroom, old folks live down on the main floor in the black walnut room. black walnut beams, floor, ceiling, decent view looking over the lake.. .
