Who has jused Kunz and/or Anant planes and can give some feedback on their quality? I just started with a woodworking course and need to buy quit a lot of material and can’t afford to spent to much at the moment. Kunz and Anant planes are cheap but are they any good?

Don't waste your money. You would be better of finding an older (pre WWII) Stanley and rebuilding it. Rebuilding isn't difficult, just takes time.
Hi whootzs,
I bought a few Anant planes and found them to be of poor quality. The biggest problem is the blade adjustment system has so much play in it that it is impossiable to get- and hold- a good setting. What I did after spending the money on the Anants was to get a good quality block, and low angle jack. They do a superior job in cutting and leave a superior surface on the wood. Your better with quality rather than quanity.

I have a Kunz scraper plane and it required the same amount of time tweaking and adjusting as rebuilding a old stanly, just to get it to cut decant.
Check ebay etc. and by old if you cant afford a top quality new one.
My 2 cents
