Hi Folks,
I finally got my bandsaw set up to do some resawing. I deliberately cut these on the think side, some ½” for a box, and the rest about 1/8″ think. I will most likely inlay the thin stock. Who knows they might become substitutes for fans on a Queen Anne piece……………..
There’s also two pieces that will/would make for a nice live edge something or other, haven’t decided yet. Thoughts were a small cribbage board?

Wow, Bob, totally cool!!!
forestgirl & Dick,
Ya, and I've got two more, both are bigger too! Can't wait to see what's inside those rascals. I haven't attempted to make veneer yet.
Took a piece of plywood and made a sled with a small fence on the back. I'm gonna try a new setup; something that rides in the mitre slot to keep it straight. Then I used wedges to hold it in place. Worked OK for those but I'd like to see if I can get thinner stock.
Would you believe I bought this el cheapo Olsen ½" 3 TPI blade to cut this. It sliced it up like a hot knife through butter! I cut that big hunk with the live edge with a chainsaw to see what's inside. It took all the saw could handle just to rough cut it!
Regards,
Ooooooooooooooooooooooooh, this is way more fun than anyone should be allowed!
