Help! I finished a cherry coofee table with 2 coats of danish oil followed by 6-8 coats of wax. The oil now appears to be leaching under the wax. If you loo at an angle shiny areas are have appeared along some of the grain lines.
Does anyone know what to do??

If you don't see at least a partial solution to the problem. Let us know more about your problem. Such as length of time between application of the oil and wax, any sealers you might have used, and the product's manufacturer.

*Wash the piece down with mineral spirits to remove the wax completely. Then buff the piece thoroughly. Let it sit for a week and put one more application of Danish oil on it, buffing it completely off like a bat out of hell after no more than ten minutes (I'd use a machine buffer). Wait one week and put one coat of wax on it, again, thoroughly buffing the wax polish. You waxed the piece before the oil had completely cured and you also got a little bleed-back of the oil to make matters worse. You also put too much wax on the piece - one carefully and patiently applied application and buffing out is usually enough, you never need more than two. You have to wait for the oil to completely cure before waxing.
