I was finishing cherry to final dimensions to build a tool cabinet then Hurricane Ian hit. I made a flat base stacked and set stickers and then strapped down my stock, unfortunately now I have oxidization except where the stickers were. Any suggestions on removing the oxidation other than sanding?

Cherry will even out over time, but Ian was 2022 or '23 wasn't it? If you build it and put it in the sun, maybe wait a while before finishing? Considering it's a tool chest maybe build it and name it Ian. Embrace the history.
What mj said. Plus, I assume that after you get the chest constructed, you will do some sanding prior to finishing. This will help even it out as well. Even after you apply the finish, it will continue to darken and even out as it is exposed to light.
