Can I use cherry for a outside screen door? And what kind of a finish should I use on it ? It will only be outside for the summer

I have used Spar Urethane on outdoor projects for my deck. It has taken constant exposre to the sun resanbly well. You might also try a Spar varnish or other similar marine finishes.
