Hi everyone, I’ve narrowed my search for a bandsaw to either a Mini Max 16 or a Agazzini 18. Does anyone have an opinion on which is the better machine? The Agazzini will end up being about $500.00 less after shipping etc. (to my mind still a large sum of money). Thank you in advance and I appreciate anyones response. Steve

Min-max, although they are both great saws.
John
2bb,
They're both pretty well equivalent saws, being Italian Made - I think that the SCM/MiniMax is a rebadged Centauro saw.
I just went through the exercise and bought a Hammer N4400 that was pretty well the same, a bit lighter build, and a trifle smaller,. The major disadvantage was that the bearing guides were steel rub blocks, but it works fine and in my case, was about USD1000 cheaper. It's a re-badged Casadei
Cheers,
eddie
