I’ve been asked to make a cross for the church. I’ve gone to Google and got some ideas for a design.
Do you have any advice on a good design and/or link?
Thanks,
Don

Hi Don,
I've made quite a few cross and other liturgical pieces. You can get some ideas if you want from my site:

WOW! Thanks Alan. Your website is beautiful. You are so talented.
I was commissioned to make one for a 150-year old chapel which only had a small one on the altar. They wanted a fairly large one to hang from the wooden rafters above the chancel. The final cross was six feet tall, four feet across and finished in a dark stain to match the other interior finishes. The cross is hollow (to reduce weight). It is made from cypress one-by with a striated surface (small gooves running the length of the lumber on one side). The intersection of the horizontal and vertical members is jointed at 45 degrees to form a pattern over a soid core; the ends of the cross are closed. Hpe this helps.
Here's a picture of a pair of doors I made with a cross for the pulls. It's in the same style as the cross I made for a crucifix the church already had.
