A while back there was a discussion about a new hardwood supplier opening in Cincinnati. Seems like there was a website for the new business, now I can’t find it. Anyone know if the new store is open, and/or what the website was?
Thanks,
Jeff

I live a mile from the store and it looks like they're still in the remodeling process. It was suppose to be open by now. Luckily Paxton still sells to the public or I'd be SOL on lumber.

I didn't know Paxton was still selling to the public. I've got a good local supplier here in KY for domestics. Is Paxton still stocking a good selection of exotics? Thanks,Jeff
Yup all exoctics are still there and prices appear to be the same. Everything is the same except they got rid of the big shelving displays in the middle of the store and replaced it with bundles of plywood. The store looks a little empty since they got rid of a lot of retail things but I'm just glad they still sell to the public. They're no longer open Saturdays which sucks for me since I have a day job.
Have you ever tried Wilhelm Lumber in Brookville, IN. Excellent selection. They sell to the public but they aren't very good at making their material accessible. That is they have a huge shed stacked floor to ceiling with flats of lumber. If you need something they usually have to move a half a dozen or so piles to get one that you can pick through. I've found the best way around this is to call ahead and let them know you're coming out and they'll try to have a pile ready for you to pick through when you get there.
The store will have their Grand Opening the first week of May.
