I’ve had it! I need to buy a new circular saw and was wondering if anyone had a recomendation. I’m going tomorrow morning and that’s that! So far I’ve decided on the P&C 324mag. If anyone has anything to say please help. Sorry about the ranting I just hate when things don’t perform up to par.

I have a 4 year old Porter cable with a magnesium base It works well and
I have had no problems. That being said for a year I used a skill worm drive saw, both the regular and the magnesium base model 77 and once you get used to one the sidewinder style is very clumsy. The skill saw has a huge amount of torque and it just goes in the direction you point it in.
get the Porter Cable or the Milwaukee,,,my Milwaukee has taken three falls off a 12/12 pitch roof and never whimpered.....the PC I've seen used a lot and no complaints..
most of the guys I've seen on frame crews out here use the Milwaukee with a Marathon blade...seems to give great results...very few worm drives are used in this area, I've seen one crew using them and that was in a situation where they didn't need all the power one gives, and they all had the guards pinned back so it doesn't say much for the common sense aspect, they felt it made them look more "professional"...ha ha!!!
just curious...what saw are you referring to thats not performing up to par?
