What is the preferred cleaning agent for spray guns after using nitrocellulose lacquer? It has to be strong enough to get the dried finish residue material out of the crevices, etc. Please indicate a source for the product if you have a suggestion. Thanks, all.

A cheap version of lacquer thinners (aka cellulose thinner, etc.,) often sold as gunwash.
Your polish supplier makes it and sells it. As I don't know where you live I can't suggest a particular supplier, but wherever you're getting you nitro lacquer from should be able to supply. Slainte.

Dude I was just thinking of you the other day whhere you been..geeeze move back home and you forget about us Buckism: Will show you the the way
Sancho, I'm still here, as you see. It's true I guess that I don't post as often as I used to, but that's because I'm up to my oxters in work, and has nothing to do with the fact that I moved home to the UK away from that climatically murderous hell-hole known as Texas.
Now there's a US state I'll be glad to never see the hot and humid arse-end of again in all my life, except that perhaps a visit to the place during a warm and balmy December or January when the weather is bearable could be contemplated.
I could never live there again-- the climate is just far too miserable for way too long in any one year for a normal human being, ha, ha. Slainte.Richard Jones Furniture

Will, I don't need a sidekick to help me polish off a half bottle-- or maybe more- of Polish.
Meanwhile, lacquer thinner-- the cheap gunwash muck, still cleans out spray guns that have been used to spray the nitro-cellulose family of polishes, and a bunch of other film forming finishes too that have been put through the spray gun such as oil varnishes, melamine lacquer, and shellac. What Richard said, in addition every five-ten sessions or when I've left some in the gun too long I use acetone. Get both from my paint supplier.
