I cant pass up a good sharpening stone when I go to the Flea Markets.
How do you clean them when they are glazed over from dry sharpening?
I have natural Arkansas – India-Carborundum or is it Crystolon?
I have only used oil stones, how do they compare with water stones?
Thanks Ron

Grind the glaze off with a diamond stone. A lot of old stones will also need to be flattened, and a diamond stone is the easiest way to do that too.
