I finished the interior surfaces of some new wood windows with spar urethane about a week ago. The window glass has some streaks of urethane that I’d like to remove as gently as possible. Wood a sharp razor be the best approach? I don’t want to scratch the glass on my new windows. Have any of you found a better way to clean up glass?

A razer blade works very well for glass, glass is harder than steel, so it does not scratch. Just did that for my new door.
If your door has clear plastic panel, on the other hand, scratching is a definate possiblity. Storm doors now often have lexan panels because they will not shatter. If you are not sure, try to scratch the panel in some inconspicuous spot, if it is glass, you will not be able to scratch it with a razer blade, if plastic, you will.
Non concur that glass will not scratch. Common practice is to squirt windex on it to lube things up a little for the razor. It ought to come of fairly well. Now if your glass is on a window within 18" of the floor, then it's tempered, and you'd have a hard time scratching it. Interesting sideline story. Working at a place about a decade ago where we periodically cut glass from sheets just in storage to replace window glass and other miscellania. I saw a piece that I thought looked just about the right size, just take a little off this side . . . heck it wouldn't cut. So I pressed pretty good with the cutter and man did that thing erupt. It about leapt off the table and made a popcorn sound for about 20 seconds. Oops. tempered. Lots of nice little fragments to sweep up.
