Does anyone know of a good wood cleaner that won’t strip off a wax finish? The tabletop in question is made of black walnut, and is finished with Danish Oil and SC Johnson Paste Wax. I would like be able to clean it (basically just dusting) without having to rewax each time.
Thanks to anyone who responds.

A new coat of wax applied and buffed out vigorously is a sort of self-cleaning as it is. If you're dealing with a lot of grime, you may be better off removing the wax (and most of the dirt with it) by wiping the top with a rag wetted with paint thinner. The Danish oil finish (which is simply a mixture of varnish, oil and thinner) underneath the wax will have hardened well enough that it won't be affected.
Yet one more alternative is to clean the surface with a rag dampened with water to which a little dishwashing liquid has been added, and wipe that dry.

*Use a high-solvent content wax and it will clean itself. The low-solvent formulations could result in build up.
