I am a woodworker since many years but also an IT professional since 1973. I have a positive experience from using CAD for my drawings.
Started to use 2D systems and today I am always building a 3D model before I start my work in the shop.
Working with 3D models it is a close step to CNC routers.
Anyone out there having experience from CNC routers i e ShopBot and CAM software? Artcam Pro is one of my CAM alternative.

Do a search...there's quite a few forums out there dealing with Router CNC from hobby level to pro.
Hi Rick ,
Just recently I went to a buddies shop and saw his CNC in action , it was the first time I have seen one ,,, OMG .
This old dogs eyes were opened wide to the technology and tremendous value this type of tooling can add to a business .
Sounds like it can cut the time of one man just cutting plywood parts for a job from 60 - 80 % depending on the particulars .
The degree of accuracy is so much tighter as well as the cuts when all the cutters are sharp.
