I’m looking for a souce for old fashioned hand cranked coffee grinder mechanisms. I’d like to build the wooden case and grounds drawer but I need to purchase the mechanisms. Rockler used to carry them but doesn’t currently. Anybody know where I can find some?
Thanks.

have you tried woodcraft?
Denny,
Lee Valley has what you're looking for. Here's the link http://www.leevalley.com/wood/page.asp?SID=&ccurrency=2&page=32867&category=1,250,43298

I checked VanDyke's yesterday, and didn't see any. Odd.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
I got some from Lee Valley and they work great. They supply the plan to make the box, but make sure to double check dimensions.

Denny,
What a cool project idea, mind if I steal it, thanks :). I've been electric grinding my weekend coffee for a couple of years, I'll never go back to the can.
Funny story: My wife gave me coffee for Christmas a couple of years ago. I smiled and looked at her and asked if she got a grinder to go with it, she didn't!. She doesn't drink coffee, she didn't even notice she bought whole bean.
Thanks Dan! That's seems like a good price too.
Enjoy, Roy
