I am looking for a reliable source for conical burr coffee grinder hardware. I was able to find one at Rockler, but by their own admission, it is more for decoration than usage, and for that price, I can purchase a completed mill, and use the (too small, inferior quality pine) base for kindling. I am going to actually use this to make coffee, and may eventually make grinders for sale to Luddite coffee aficionados.

They have them in the Penn State Industries catalog....but I've never seen or used one so I don't how the quality is.
Zassenhaus produces this type of mill, but I don't know if they sell parts.Janet
Thanks everybody. It looks like the cast bronze geared design in the Penn State catalog has had great reviews. They even sell them in large lots, in which case, I should be set.
I have never bought from them but I have seen ads from Craft Supplies USA .They market that type of thing but I have no idea as to the quality.Try googling them
Lee Valley have one

It is kind of rough. Patterned after some American grinders common in the 1890's. I bought one but haven't made the base yet as I picked up a couple of Spong No 2 grinders and really like them.
