Many of you know about it but many my not be aware that CW and FWW put on a conference on 18th century subjects each year. The gathering takes place in CW at the DeWitt Gallery auditorium and out at sites in the surrounding shops if need be. I have been to 7 of the 10 conferences and they have all been worthwhile in one way or another. Some more than others have been very good.
Take a look at the schedule at the site http://www.history.org/history/institute/Images/2008Woodworking.pdf I have attached and see if it is something you might like. I know it is very tough for those that have to travel great distances but maybe for those that are wanting to see what this is about, I thought I would bring it to the Knots readers attention.
Its funny, every year the notice of the conference comes out in a FWW edition and the conference is filled. ??? That’s due in part to the fact that so many guys like myself who have been before know to banter the CW people about registration and its filled year after year with repeat attendees. Well I guess I am breaking ranks by pooping out a shotgun blast to get some new faces. Maybe I might see some of you at the pow wow.

danmart,
Two things.
1. You need to edit your post and drop the "e" on the end of your link. That extra e takes one to "page cannot be found."
2. I was interested in going until I got to the $285 fee.
