I’m planning a week vacation in Colonial Williamsburg this summer (July or August).
I’d like to attend a day class for furniture making or some type of woodworking, if possible.
Can anyone give opinions on which ones they have attended, etc.?
Thanks,
Erik.

I am not aware of any courses of that nature at Colonial Williamsburg. There is the annual January symposium where Woodworking in the Eighteenth Century is demonstrated. Some of the CW craftsmen do give lessons in other instutions (such as Marc Adams possibly).
The Hay Shop is open daily and always has some projects going on, and craftsmen (not museum interpreters with a script) available to answer questions and museum reproductions made in the shop that you can touch. Some extraordinary work gets accomplished in that shop. And, there are other woodworking activities going on at CW, including activities of the cooper, the gun smith, and at the carriage shop at the Palace.
