Am I remembering correctly that there was an article within the past couple of years that describe ways to mix in pigments etc. to make colored Epoxy to fill in holes?
I can’t find it in the archives
Any help guiding me to this would be appreciated

Bob Van Dyke made a video about this. I watched it recently. He used two-part, five minute epoxy and mixed in a little black stain. He said it takes only a very little bit of black stain. He said to apply the epoxy above the level of the board face. He waited until the next day but said to wait at least six hours before using a card scrapper to level the epoxy to the wood. A sharp chisel was used also but care was taken to remove only a thin layer at a time to avoid all of the epoxy pushing out of the hole and tearing out wood fibers. He finished up with a card scrapper. The black filler looked just like a resin pocket or a knot when he was through.
