Any one seen or worked with the new colored mdf. I understand that it has been used in Europe for a couple of years, but is really new to the US market. I am interested in learning about application of the mdf, how well you like it and where your purchased the product.

I've seen the ads for it. My first reaction is "What in the world would it be good for?" It has the same resistance to dings, to water, and to oils as regular MDF -- which is to say nearly none. It terms of looks, it looks like... well... colored MDF. That isn't high praise in my book. (Okay, I'll admit to my biases: I am a wood guy.) It only comes in a few colors. Paint on regular MDF would get an infinite variety of colors, plus much better stain resistance.
