   If you're comparing parallel clamps, don't forget the new Jet clamps (click).  They look like they have some worthwhile improvements.

   Oh darn, so sorry!  Well, good luck.  I have some of each of the Bessey and Jacobsen Cabinetmasters, but don't really feel I've used them enough to comment.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)

   Roger,  I've used both.  Bessy and the Jorgensen Cabinet Master.  I now have the Jorgies in my shop.   Watch out when you buy the Jorgies,  The old style had  an aluminum casting on the inside " visabily aluminum" and tend to break.  The new model  is cast steel and far superior and the casting is painted black.  They are also less expensive than Bessys and also totally made in the USA.

   Sorry  no experiance with the UniKlamps.

   Have any readers got both the K-Body and UniKlamps, and if so how do they compare.

   I do.  The Uniklamps are like smaller,  lighter-duty K-bodies.  Same parallel-type jaws, but smaller, and they're rated for 550 lbs. clamping pressure, as opposed to 1000 lbs. for the K-bodies.

   Can you get the Gros Stabil parallel jaw clamps where you're at? I haven't done a comparison with the Bessey's but I have 8 of them now and love them. I think the jaw faces are slightly wider and longer than the Bessey's. The jaw faces are also replaceable too if they get scarred up. Other than that, I dont know how much difference there is between them and the Bessey's.

   If you build it he will come.
