I am in the market for either the Teknatool Supernova Scroll chuck or the Oneway Talon scroll chuck. Before putting my money on the barrel head, I would be interested in learning about the experiences of other turners have had with these products.

I use the Oneway Talon on hobby woodturning. It has not given me any trouble and keeps on going three years later..
I have a Nova chuck and use it frequently, but would dearly love to have the Super Nova. I have used the super nova and the Chuck key just makes life so much better.

Mr dave,
I have a supernova with about three sets of jaws. Excellent chuck and has never given trouble over about 8 years now. If you go this way, consider what you are turning and buy the appropriate jaws as extras, they are cheap and make life a lot easier.

Hi there, I have a Supernova chuck that I have been using for over a year now and it has given me no problems at all. I have not tried the oneway chuck, but from what I have heard they are very closely matched. Either chuck would be good; I think it would just come down to personal preference and price.
Thank you
I have an old original Nova and as much as I’d like to get the key operated one, it just keeps going and going…. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the better quality chucks on the market. It is a more a matter of which features you like.
