Here are the pictures of the Unisaw rehab.
This saw just sat around unused for 12 Years.
I rehabed it with paint a new motor to replace the 3 phase motor & a Shopfox Classic Fence & new switch. The saw had no extension table or cast wings.
The bearings were nice & tight & smooth.
I purchased this saw for $250 on the 18th of December & just today finished the rehab. I won’t say it was inexpensive but I got everything you see in the pictures for less than you’d pay for a Unisaw with a 30″ fence system.
I still nee to make the mobile base, I have the material.
I also need to make the router fence., it will be the one in last Novembers Wood magazine.

Hey Bart, you got the pictures up! They look great. I am so impressed with the job you did on that saw. Must feel great to have everything so close to finished.

One minor little problem the switch went south. I'll need to take it back to Grizzly & get it replaced. Only had about 5-8 cycles on the switch.Sucking.......Whoosh.......Yowl........Whoosh.........Thrump puttytat up the DC..

Nice job Bart. I have done that to a couple of saws, and enjoy that kind of work.
I put my router table on the other end of my saw. There may be times when you have the router set up, that you will need to use the saw, and it will be in the way on the left wing. On the other end it would be out of the way for everything up to 30" from the blade, and it will be in the way of the TS fence.
The right side is against the wall on this table-saw I also have a Exaktor gard system that will be on that side of the saw.
My other table-saw was in this configuration with a 30" fence & a 18" router table on the left, I never had a problem with room because I draw up my own plans & cut list & cut a few extra pieces of items that go through the router table. The router wing is 22" wide on this table-saw.
The problem I had is that the router fence was attached to by slots in the table-saw fence so if I had to make a cut I either had to measure off the router fence to the blade or remove the router fence. This system will have its own router fence.Sucking.......Whoosh.......Yowl........Whoosh.........Thrump puttytat up the DC..
What size motor is in it, and what voltage?Regards,

3 HP 220 volt with a switch made for the voltage & HP. I exchanged the switch & still don't get any voltage out the other side of the switch. I have a friend coming over tonight that is an appliance & heating repair pro he'll help me get it going.Sucking.......Whoosh.......Yowl........Whoosh.........Thrump puttytat up the DC..

Bart, you sound just like the person I need some advice from regarding that fence. To save time, check out this discussion and let me know what you think: 21487.1 . Thanks in advance!
