Well, I finally completed the table and attached some photos for you. I used Man O’War gloss spar varnish, applying about ten coats to every surface. The surfaces were leveled using a hard block and 320 g silicon carbide paper. I then rubbed them out using the abralon pads in grits of 500, 1000, and 2000. Finally, I applied a very thin coat of paste wax and buffed. The sheen is very low and the surface is buttery smooth. I like it!

That is quite a job! Be sure and include a statement on maintenance for the table. As you know nothing lasts forever, especially in a marine environment. Congratulations.
