I’m trying to build a plant stand with a 12″ square top with four legs with apron on all four sides. all of the legs are at 7 degrees to the vertical. When I set the top on the legs with aprons, there is a gap between the top and the apron on all four sides. What do i need to do to get the top to set flush on the four legs with aprons.
Any help would be appreciated greatly.

Assuming that you have not discovered antigravity :-) do you mean that the top is being held off the apron by the legs?
If you cut the legs square then the tops of the legs are 7 degrees off the horizontal so that the outermost edges of the legs are higher than the aprons.
Probably the easiest way to resolve this would be to assemble the apron and legs and then plane off the projecting parts of the leg tops. Plane inwards to avoid tearout and clamp the leg being planed so as not to subject the joint to racking forces.
