In chair construction, what method do you use to measure and lay out shoulder faces on rails and stretchers when the stiles are rotated and angled? Thanks Malcolm G

Malcolm,
As I mentioned in your previous query, I do full scale drawings first to find and refine my angles. Then it depends upon your techniques for building. I use a router with the ability to cut in on three separate axes. Your methods may be different. But build a prototype first from your full scale drawing to get familiar with the techniques required.
Angled joinery is also a large subject. You can look in my book on joinery, The Complete Illustrated Guide to Joinery, for several methods. But it is dependent upon your tools and experience when it comes to laying out angled shoulders.
