I’m looking for an electric computer monitor lift to mount in a desk that will raise and lower the monitor so it can be concealed below the desk top when not in use. Is it available somewhere?
Thanks

Flat screen or CRT? There are lots and lots of them out there. Do a Google search on television lift.

Rockler has them... (Motorized Flat panel TV/Monitor Lifts) I considered building a hutch that would hold a flat screen TV... the hardware cost more than the piece of furniture with the same hardware installed in it at the local furniture store though... There is a problem here...Drew
Drew,
Yeah, it's called marketing at its finest. You find that the latest craze is flat panle TV monitors and now you find a nifty way of mounting it, and charge as much as the monitor costs!

Drew,
How's about framing it like a picture on the wall. Then you could add curtains like they have at the movie theaters. Also, you could hook your PC/MAC to it and display random pictures, ala screen saver.
