Hello all, visiting from Breaktime and, as usual, can’t get Prospero search to work very well. Today’s question is about drawer guides. The last ones I used were a concealed type that are, unfortunately, no longer available. Blum offers concealed guides but I’m not thrilled with either the mounting or the cost. Has anybody used Hettich’s quadro guides? I have a sample pair here and, with the help of the catalog, think I understand the mounting.
One benefit seems to be the ability to use one guide for a large variety of drawer depths, a very real Blum drawback. They’re very smooth running. According to the catalog, there’s a 3mm side play available. As both sides are captive, this is no small matter. Does anybody know how well that works?
There is also nobody in Virginia stocking these so I’m stuck with UPS charges anyhow. Do any of y’all have a distributor that you’d recommend? It’d be nice to be able to talk to somebody who actually knew something about the product. I’m also very open to suggestion on other brands. A call to the Grass importer yielded me 20 FAX pages, none of which had anything to do with concealed guides, so I guess they don’t offer any.
Sure hope somebody here has already been through this. Thanks.

Thank you. I got on Hettich today and they came up with another dist. in Baltimore. I gather I'm looking at $20+/pr for the full extensions with full box purchasing.PAHS Designer/Builder- Bury it!
