Hi to all,
I just finished all cabinets for 3 bathrooms in my house ( my wife had the great idea to remodel all 3 at once, not good..) .
I am interested in the confirmat screws and firmus clamp. I have never use that system, could you please tell me the following:
1.) Where do I buy confirmat screws?
2.) Is it good for 3/4 plywood, what size screw do you use or it is just good for particle and mdf?
3.) The Firmus clamp, what is the difference to use it or use the bessey 90 angle clamp.
4.) Do you use only one clamp for assembly a case, or do you have to use others? Very much appreciated any other comments, suggestions, etc. I gotta tackle a kitchen for my house, and I want to assembly all this cases FAST! Is it worth the money? Timing?

Try McFeeley's for screws etc.
Confirmats are a Hafele item and I use Hebor clamps from them as well. 2 at a time works well and is a lot faster then any other method I know of. They are positive, quick absolutely square allowing easy access to the whole fastening area without need for removal. Have fun! aloha, mike
I almost forgot, you need the step bit and the Zentrix tube for your drill for the best result. this will add up to a little bit of money but will work for a long time. aloha again

Just wonderin' where you buy the zentrix tube for the confirmats. I assume this is the jig for pre drilling accurate holes ( perpendicular, parallel, etc) Do you use this system often? Thanks
Hafele, by mail order. I used to use it exclusively but now mostly for commercial casework where it has no equal in Plyron. The material is so dense that it is easy to snap ordinary screws. I use square drive screws in prefinished plywoods now (cherry, maple, african mahogany, etc). Its like a lag bolt in plyron-really tough and positive fastening. aloha, mike
