I have a Continental Ulticut bandsaw model VBS 14SW and I’m missing the upper blade guide. I’m looking to purchase one but I can’t find any information about the machine or manual to get a part number. Also, does anyone know when these machine were produced and by who or who bought Continental?

These guys probably know : https://carterproducts.com/band-saw-products/band-saw-guides
Continental Ulticut is a manufacturer of abrasives. They are in Southern California. Occasionally I cut or grind rocks and stuff like that and have used grinding stones from them. I didn't know they manufactured machines and I'm betting they don't. My guess is they may have machines built for and branded for them and probably to cut stone and stuff.
Is your saw a beasty old industrial vertical machine? I tried to look it up and the one I saw on line looked very much like a Do-All . They were not uncommon in metal working shops. If it is then old iron guys and maybe even Carters might be a place to start. They do guide upgrades for lots of different brands. My guess is that the name Continental Ulticut ( the machine) has nothing what so ever to do with Continental Ulticut the abrasives company.
If you can't find one, they are relatively simple parts which need machining to relatively coarse tolerances.
If you made one out of wood (to ensure it fit) then having a machine shop make one out of metal would likely be affordable. If you could design the part in fusion360 then you could send the file to PCB Way and they can CNC machine it in pretty much any material you like.
You don't have to have the original - you can look at the best options and adapt those to your needs.
I suggest getting a band saw guide upgrade kit for it. Will save you a whole lot of trouble. Try checking with sawblade.com by the way. Take pictures of your current upper and lower guides and then they'll cross reference to what they think will fit your saw.
