I have a Metabo metal cutting saw CS 14-15.
Specifications:
– disc diameter: 355 mm
– speeds at no load: 3.900 /min
– rated input power: 2.100 W
– see also: http://www.metabo.com/metabo/com/en/produkte/metalcuttingsaws/2100wattmetalcuttingsawcs1415_6_01415_00.html
Would I be able to change the metal disc and replace it by a regular saw for wood in order to have a mitter saw?

Yes, if you can find 14" saw blades with 1" arbor holes. You might also need some washers if the saw blade is thinner than the abrasive cutoff wheel. The cutting speed with a 14" blade would be about 15% faster than the miter saws I found with Google. With a 12" blade, it would be very similar to the wood cutting miter saws.
From the picture, it looks to me like the miter adjustment would be significantly less accurate and less repeatable than the miter saws designed and built for cutting wood. Also, on a purpose built wood cutting miter saw, the stock stays in one place and the cutting head swings to the miter angle. On this saw, the cutting head is fixed and the stock has to be swung around to the miter angle, which will take a lot more room.
I think this saw is just for straight cut-off. I don't think it has any miter capacity.
Sorry for the wording. I only want to use the saw for straight cuts.
As a hobby man I was hoping to avoid buying an additional machine, but I wasn't sure if it would work or if it would be safe enough.
The web site says, "Quick clamping device with adjustable mitre conversion up to 45[degrees]" To me that says swivel vise.
