hello,
I’m thinking of coopering a quarter sawn ash door around 4w’x 2h’ with 2 curved laminated battens. Door will be 3/4″ thick. will I have trouble with warping or twisting of a door this size with sloppy screw battens on top and bottom (inside of door)?
thx!

Not sure what you mean by "sloppy screw battens"... If you glue up the coopered door first you could use it to work out the shape of your bending form for the battens. A 4' wide by 2' high door is going to want to sag, even as a flat door that's a lot of weight hanging way out from the hinges. How deep of a curve are you planning?
I think the "sloppy" refers to loose-fitting holes to allow for wood movement. I don't think that your doors will sag as they are essentially laminated (via coopering) and should be more rigid that if they were a solid piece of ash, which is a very strong and stable wood.
