I use a Dremel mod. # 750 alot and I think it is going to give up the ghost soon. Since I use it so much I was thinking of getting something of a higher quality. any ideas? Here’s a pic.

The cordless Dremel doesn't have a quarter of the power of a corded model, unless you need the cordless function, buy the corded model, it is far more useful. Several companies make heavy duty versions of the Dremel tool but they're considerably more expensive.

I'm sorry for giving the impression that I don't have a corded one, but I do, and use it as well. It's just that the cordless is so mobile. Maybe I should just replace it with another one of the same make?
Dave, I've been using my Dremel corded 'Moto Tool' model 280 for almost 20 years. Have the router base attachment (Actually two. ) Except for an accidental drop on a concrete floor once, it has served me well all these years. Had to repair it after the 'drop' The magnet which serves as the outer winding had cracked. A drop of glue did the trick.Sharpens holesaws/cuts off protruding nails/ screws/ 1/2" thick bolts With carbide milling points bores holes through steel knife blades/Even grinds those 'off brand' sabersaw blades to fit my old bosch saber saw.
Use it on my lathe as a grinding attachment . Sharpens old screwdrivers etc etc. Had a cordless one once( Deep-sixed it.) Stein.

I agree the cordless Dremel tools are without power for demanding jobs.
After 40 yrs with a corded dremel (Model unknown) I got the following: Dremel Mod. 276, a corded model; Dremel Model 225 (a flexible shaft abt 3' long); Dremel Model 219-2 speed controller. This gives me all the power I need, and the ability to do things previously impossible. I hang the 276 from a hook above the bench for engraving etc. with the 225.
