My experience is almost completely with EPS or Urethane Honeycomb Cores. 

But, I’m curious if anyone has experience with using Aluminum or Paper Cores for wood projects? 

Are there downsides or upsides? – Other than Paper Core being maybe a little cheaper on the shipping side of things?
