When we moved into our brand new house last year, I noticed that the countertop bevel, 45 degrees, goes around the countertop but stops, about half the diameter of a router base, from the walls. When I brought this up to the builder he said it was normal for this area of Texas. Knowing that the counter tops were made on site and then covered with formica is the reason the bevel does not go to the end. I have a few ideas of correcting this but would like to hear from some of you about how you would go about it.
Thanks,
Greg

Greg ,
They probably used a laminate trimmer and that was as close as it would get to the walls .
At this point my first thought would be to use a formica or laminate file to finish the bevel off .
good luck dusty
