I recently bought FWW plans for a Country Hutch, designed by Martin Milkovits.  Between the plans and the accompanying FWW article, I think that I understand everything well enough to begin, with one exception.  Page1 of 2 shows a 1/4″ spacer, which is also on the Cutlist as 2 pieces, cherry,  1/4 x 1 3/4 x 27.  This would seem to indicate that it fits into the groove on two of the legs, but beyond that it is not obvious to me what it’s function might be.   Has anyone encountered and solved this?
