I'm no expert, so with that caveat and not knowing much else about the saw... Assuming it's a 14" saw with a stand and as you said works 100%, then depending on where you're located (and probably several other factors I can't think of right now) I would think a fair offer would be up to $500 but not more. That's a WAG to be sure, but it's based on the info you posted.
Thank you for your reply. This is much more than I thought. Works great. It does not have a stand but I have another that does and works but needs lower bearing. I was keeping it for parts since the saws are so old (1952). The model number for both saws 103.24280. I recently acquired a Jet 14" in like new condition and having a small shop need to sell these. Any ideas on where I can list to sell? How much do you think for both.
Well as I said it's a WAG, as I don't know the market you live in nor anything about the saw other than what I was able to search for on the internet. As for where to sell it, Craigslist or eBay are options, although shipping that thing would add greatly to the purchase cost for a potential buyer.
Maybe put it on eBay with a reserve and see how high the bids go? That might give you a better idea of what it's worth.
You might want to provide a location. Maybe a FWW reader is nearby and has interest. I agree with Chipsawdust - list it on Craigslist. Decide on an asking price, say OBO and see what happens. You can always turn down the low-ball offers. Also check Ebay sold listings for similar items.
My location is Camden SC. Thanks guys for all of the advise.
