Craftsman Contractors Series Table saw 113.299410 with XR-2424 Fence
Good Evening Everyone I just bought the saw and it has lots of rust, but the motor runs and the fence seems to be square. Where can I get a users manual, so I can take it apart and fix it up? Is this a good saw to spend the time and money on to over haul? Is it a good fence? I’m new and this is my first saw, so any help will be appreciated. Thanks Bob

Bob, try Sears parts for a xerox copy of the manual,Paddy
edit. I forgot to add -yes it's a decent saw and fence, I have used one for years and kept it after I rebilt my Unisaw. P H
That is an OK saw, but like most contractor's saws getting it into alignment and keeping it there will be a chore. The blade tilt mechanism is attached to the side of the sheet metal housing which will make it hard to accurately tilt the blade and miter slot to blade alignment will be hard to keep also.
I don't seem to be able to make an attachment to this posting, but if you contact me at [email protected] I'll send you a pdf file of the manual for that model saw.
I know this is years late but I am having the same problem finding the manual for this exact model. Can one of you send it to me?
You can download PDF "Owners Manual" from here:

Thank you so much! I looked for hours and couldn't find it.
rstenevik : My favorite website is http://www.vintagemachinery.org/ . Search manufacturer's index, locate reprints tab, sort by machine type(table saw), now look for your model number or close to it (113.299xxx), download and print or save as pdf. Good Luck, I've been restoring for years now.
I have a 113 series Craftsman I bought in 1983. While not the equal to any good cabinet saw, I've used mine successfully for all these years. I guess mine might be an exceptional example but I've never had to realign the saw mechanism (trunions, etc.) EVER after five house moves. I finally decided to replace the rip fence with a Shop Fox last year and I'm glad I did that. Sorry to hear about the rust. Anyhow, follow the instructions in the manual for initial setup and good luck!
