Yes and both batteries are failed! The worst part is two replacement batteries are worth as much as a complete drillwith two batteries and charger! a real ripoff!

Uncle Fixit,
Are you interested in one, slightly used battery, one charger, and a case? The total price will be actual shipping charges. I was going to through it out, but figured that someone must need it. I thought about selling on Ebay, but don't care enough to do that. The drill and one of the batteries was left on a tailgate of a truck... nuf sed...
So...are you interested?

I have one and it works just fine. Both batteries are in great shape because of the way I take care of them. When you get a new cordless drill the batteries have some charge in it. Use it til the battery dies then charge it for 24 hrs. Do the same with the other battery. Then use it til it DIES, then charge it overnight. If you charge the battery after each time you use it the battery gets a "memory" and remebers it needs only that amount of charging. Don't go by that "green light", use commomn sense. My advice to both of you gentlemen is to use the batteries til they die totally and re-charge them for at least 24 hrs. If they don't hold a charge, short the battery out and recharge overnight and it will refresh the batteries. If they don't hols a charge after that you truly have a bad battery.
I have an old Craftsman 12.0V model, and it worked very well for a long, long time. It came with 2 batteries, and I had to replace the first one after 5 years of moderate use. Price for the one battery was 2/3 of the cost of the drill plus charger plus two batteries when I bought it. So, when battery number 2 died, I did not replace it. And I believe the battery # 3 that I bought as the replacement is not long for this world. So, that brings me to ask - 18.0V DeWalt, Makita, Bosch, Milwaukee???'
What to do??
Two Words.... Porter Cable.Steve - in Northern California
DeWalt or Porter-Cable, tough choice between those two. I never had any luck with Milwaukee. I would go with the DeWalt personally.
